SUPERVISOR I - CREDIT

Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of “Supervisor I - Credit”.

The jobholder is responsible for assisting management in the control and profitable growth of the credit portfolio, quality customer service and Human Resources management

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Analyzing financial information and preparing proposals for Commercial Loans, Commercial Long-Term Mortgages and other correspondence including excesses to Head Office. (Risk management/Loan delivery Centre/ Branch Sales Manager)

• Interviewing commercial clients both individually and group accounts for Personal and Commercial loans. Assessing, sanctioning, extending/renewing, or rejecting credit applications within authority and referring, with recommendations those outside of job holder’s authority.

• Marketing and cross selling the Bank’s products and services and visiting clients with a view to reviewing facilities/security items held (e.g. property)

• Supervising and developing support staff, appraising their performance and abilities, and preparing their reports for finalizing by management.

• Supervising and ensuring follow-up action on delinquent loans and securities items, overdrawn and or excess reports; and ensuring proper maintenance/perfection of securities items

GENERAL QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The jobholder should have:

• Minimum of five (5) years Commercial and Retail Credit experience  

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

• Certification in Automated Credit Bureau

The following would be considered assets:

• Knowledge of Microsoft suite, Moodys and other financial software and Accounting

• Successful completion of ACCA

• Credit Analyst Training and other Credit Training Courses 

 BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

• Human Resource Management, Analytical, Organizational, Time Management, Oral and Written communication skills.
