EYC is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant position.
EY Caribbean (EYC) is seeking to recruit for the regional role of Senior Accountant. The position will sit in the Trinidad location but provide support across all regional EYC entities. The position will report directly to the Assistant Director and at times the Director of Finance and execute duties as outlined below:
Responsibilities:
Review the following for all EYC locations:
- Monthly Corporation Tax computation
- Quarterly tax review (Green Fund Levy and Corporation Tax)
- Value Added Tax (VAT) review
- Yearly Tax filings as per the location requirements
- Manage the Treasury for all locations
- Prepare weekly bank balance consolidation for all EYC locations
- Manage the monthly cash flow consolidations for all locations and following up with reports
- Prepare intercompany and IFM consolidation for all locations
- Review Monthly Management Accounts
- Managing monthly review of Balance Sheet schedules
- Function as Policy Custodian and maintaining training guides, process flow and audit checklists for all locations
- Coordinate and manage all month end close activities
- Manage any Finance Special Projects as sanctioned by the Director of Finance
- Prepare Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Schedules for EYC main locations
- Management of Corporate Services
- Review of year end financials and year end tax computations for each EYC location
- Manage and oversee internal and external audits for all EYC locations
- Prepare schedules and statements for Partnership Accounting
- Conduct ad hoc SAP configuration changes
- Function as alternate for the Accountant or Assistant Director Finance across various EYC locations where the need arises
- Any other duties as required per job function

To qualify for the position, the candidate must have:
- a professional accounting designation i.e ACCA, CA, CPA, CIMA and/or a post graduate/ Masters degree in Finance
- approximately 3-5 plus years’ experience in a professional atmosphere in a finance/business capacity
- at least of 2-3 years' supervisory experience
- proficient or trainable in complex aspects of financial software packages
