A leading pharmaceutical importer/distributor in south Trinidad is seeking to fill the position of Medical/Marketing Representative.

Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing assigned clients with accurate, updated, balanced and expert product knowledge with the aim of increasing market share through reliable and professional best practice.

Key Duties:

1. Service clients’ accounts by offering professional customer service to ensure growth and retention of customers.

• Win new customers as well as develop long-term relationships with existing customers through direct visits and follow-ups.
• Convincingly provide product information to close the sale to meet and exceed monthly target.
• Organize appointments and meetings with Medical Practitioners, Pharmacies and other relevant businesses to provide relevant product data to increase product awareness, answer queries, provide advice and introduce new products.

1. Visit Pharmacies in close proximity to Physicians offices to assess the Physician’s product preferences etc; as well as to share product information with the Pharmacist on duty.
2. Implements strategies for increasing opportunities to increase sales by meeting and talking to contacts in medical, healthcare and other sectors.
3. Identify new business opportunities.
4. Attend promotions, health fairs and other charitable events.
5. Provide reports as required.

Education & Experience:

• BSc Biology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets will be an asset
• Any combination of training and experience
