Import Officer

Responsibilities

• Submit all cargo manifests to customs and Port Community System;
• Coordinate with related internal & External teams and follow up to ensure resolution;
• Manages CODs, Splits, returns, short shipments, over landers and change of destination cargo;
• Manual cleanup for customs manifest;
• Monitors and alters cargo folders in the Port community system;
• Address EDI rejections, misfires, integrations and code modifications;
• Update manifest registration numbers in LARA;
• Ensure that management is alerted of any matters that may result in potential claims as soon as this becomes evident;
• Resolve SSC audit reports to ensure accurate reporting within 24-48 hours deadlines;
• Team Support Functions;
• Process Coastwise entries for Montego Bay.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field;
• 2 – 3 years of customer service experience;
• Basic internet troubleshooting skills;
• Must be Internet and computer savvy;
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Critical thinker, great work ethic and dependable.
