Background

Profiles Caribbean Inc. is seeking to recruit an Appraiser/Valuer for a well-established real estate firm. The successful candidate will work as part of a team that provides efficient and effective property survey and evaluation service.

Role Summary

In the role of Appraiser/Valuer, your main responsibility will be the appraisal and valuation of various properties and/or assets in the residential and commercial spaces.

Duties and Responsibilities Summary

• Assist with the survey and valuation of a variety of residential and commercial properties including estimating the market value of land, buildings, and commercial real estate properties.
• Assist in implementing computer based valuation programs.
• Write detailed proposals and prepare draft valuation reports.
• Provide recommendations to the valuation team.
• Keep up to date with the property and valuation market.
• Any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• A BSc. or similar level in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Completion of Valuer’s certificate at BCC or UWI.
• Experience in the valuation/appraisal would be an asset.
• Knowledge and/or experience with AssocRICS or RICS or similar designation would be an asset.
• The ability to perform valuations on a wide range of properties inclusive of residential and commercial.
• Knowledge of building and construction including reading of land and building plans.
• Experience with reading and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good mathematical and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent IT, Information management and MS Office suite skills.
