Primary objective of the job: 

 

As Digicel’s Commercial Manager – Postpaid you will be responsible for:  

  • Development of Group Commercial strategy, product and roadmaps for all channels (including the production of Group playbooks and ad hoc pricing support)
  • Communication of Commercial strategies and goals including seasonal events (to wider teams e.g. Marketing, Operations and Customer Care) to strengthen execution  

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Ownership of product catalogues and appropriate documentation of Markets’ commercial calendar
  • Monitoring competitor and industry activities and determining appropriate actions to harness opportunity and protect against competitive threats
  • Analysis and interpretation of data to determine appropriate short-term and long-term ATL and BTL strategies
  • Support Markets in driving revenue and subscriber growth (with measurement of KPIs) to help achieve budget commitments
  • Overseeing Markets’ monthly results and provide hands-on guidance in case of below-target performance and identifying Market priorities/areas of focus
  • Providing Markets with all the tools and resources they need to drive success including Vendor Management
  • Providing monthly Trading reports to senior Commercial leadership on Markets’ performance

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred
  • At least three (3) years of relevant commercial/marketing/sales experience
  • Senior management capability with a proven record in strategic development
  • Strong project management skills, i.e., the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and requirements simultaneously
  • The ability to think analytically and apply good business judgment, as well as being capable of leading cross-functional teams of people
  • Proven success in delivering Commercial or sales results and/or achieving targets
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint experience
  • Experience in business analytics or other analytical areas is preferred
  • Prior experience with telecommunications is preferred
