Sales Manager
Our client Consolidated Bakeries Ltd. (Miss Birdie and Purity brands) is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Sales Manager.
CORE FUNCTION
The Sales Manager designs and implements sales strategies that will see the company achieving sustained year on year sales growth. The successful candidate will use his/her creativity and knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base
and market share thereby driving profits.
• Develop sales policies and procedures to drive sales including after-sales services and
customer relationship management
• Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing sales quotas for routes/territories
and team as well as analyze sales trends and reports.
• Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and
demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
• Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and
competition status
• Consolidate internal price control program for all products, implementing and
administering pricing alignment.
• Manage objectives setting, training, coaching and performance monitoring of sales
representatives
• Assist the sales team in becoming the preferred supplier and/or category champion for
key customers.
• Liaise with Marketing and New Product Development departments to ensure brand
Consistency
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Management, or similar program of study.
• Experience implementing sales strategies that drive results.
• At least 2 years' experience selling Fast Moving Consumer Goods a definite advantage
• IT literate - fully conversant in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint &
