Actuarial Analyst – Pricing

Our Client, an organisation in the Insurance Sector, is currently seeking to recruit an Actuarial Analyst – Pricing to join their Pricing & Product Development team.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

• Participates in the pricing of life insurance products.
• Assesses and monitors life insurance profitability levels.
• Understand IFRS17 general concepts and incorporate into pricing activities.
• Implements, maintains and improves the pricing AXIS models.
• Prepares in depth sensitivity analysis on insurance products.
• Prepares pricing reports for regulatory submission.
• Improves the pricing process by identifying inefficiencies.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Finance with a strong background in Mathematics including Calculus, Probability and Statistics.
• Good progress towards the Associate level designation along with two to five (2-5) years experience in a similar capacity.
• Proficiency in the use of any actuarial modelling software although experience in the use of AXIS would be an asset.
• A high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Software with strong Excel skills in particular.
• Good verbal and written communication skills along with good organisational skills.
• Detailed oriented.
• Deadline driven with good time management skills
• Possesses deep intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills.
• Previous experience in a financial services environment would be an asset.
