Facilities Coordinator
Job Overview
We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to help us maintain a secure and well-functioning work environment. Part of your job will be to provide oversight over various teams, check devices, structures, and systems (e.g. fire alarms, generators, and air-conditioners) on a regular basis and identify needs for repairs and renovations. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized and able to prioritize multiple issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to
- Provide direct supervision to the janitorial and facilities teams
- Inspect the work carried out by the team
- Prepare schedules for the team and monitor attendance and adherence
- Schedule maintenance activities on equipment
- Check rooms and furniture to identify needs for repairs or renovations
- Restock office, kitchen and cleaning supplies
- Issue cleaning and other supplies
- Design and oversee the schedule for cleaning and disinfecting the building and assist with these activities where necessary
- Monitor activities that happen outside the building, such as proper waste disposal and recycling, etc.
- Fix minor malfunctions in office equipment
- Maintain asset inventory
- Maintain an updated record of invoices from external partners (e.g. suppliers)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Perform all janitorial and facilities duties as needed
- Any other duties assigned
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of facilities management operations
- Understanding of safety regulations in offices
- Well-organized
- Sound judgment and the ability to think quickly during emergencies
- Experience in building and equipment maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance planning and schedules.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Education
Or
- Heart NSTA certification in the related field (preferred)
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years work experience as a Facilities Coordinator or similar supervisory role.
