Human Resources Coordinator
LASCO Distributors Limited, a marketing and distribution company within LASCO Affiliated Companies, seeks the services of suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of: Human Resources Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the Human Resources Department with general administration of benefits, payroll, training and development, legal compliance, and other special projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and human resource questions and issues
- Administer employee benefits and welfare/wellness programs such as group health (dental & optical), group life insurance enrollments, changes and terminations. Process required documents through insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Oversee the processing of the fortnightly payroll
- Conduct quarterly new hire and separation file audits
- Facilitate new hire orientation
- Monitor the Company’s CUG portfolio
- Coordinate training sessions and interviews
- Prepare and publish job advertisements via the company’s platform
- Reviewing, screening, and maintaining applications and resumes at the entry level
- Monitor and track probationary reports
- Monitor Contract renewals
- Assist with the maintenance of training manuals, HR manual, and employee handbook
- Assist the Admin Clerk, with processing of Supplier payments
- Assist with creation, distribution and collection of feedback from company-wide annual survey
- Provide support with employee engagement and staff welfare activities.
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a First Degree in Human Resource Management and/or other relevant Degree from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar position in a Human Resource Department.
- Experience in the Manufacturing and/or Distribution environment is an asset
- Sound Knowledge of Labour Laws
- Knowledge of HRIS Software
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficient in Office Suite
- Experienced with graphic design software is a plus
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Adaptability to learn a variety of software programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
