Art Curator and Creative Senior Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing immersive and visually engaging spaces that integrate art seamlessly. As an Art Curator and Creative Senior Manager, you will select artwork and art collections, strategically incorporating them into interior design projects to create unique and inspiring environments.

Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:

• Collaborating with the corporate design team to understand design goals, functional requirements and the integration of art into the hotel interior spaces.
• Developing creative and cohesive interior design concepts.
• Sourcing and acquiring artworks, collaborating with artists, galleries and collectors to build a diverse and captivating art collection.
• Coordinating the logistics of artwork acquisitions, including negotiations, contracts, shipping and insurance.
• Providing guidance on lighting and display methods.
• Collaborating with architects, contractors and other professionals to ensure the design plans and art installations are executed accurately and within established timelines.
• Overseeing the installation and arrangement of artworks, ensuring proper placement, framing and conservation practices.
• Staying informed about emerging artists, art movements, design trends and innovative materials to bring fresh perspectives and unique design solutions to projects.

Qualification and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Art History, Fine Arts or a related field. Additional certifications or coursework in Art Curation or Gallery Management are desirable.
• Proven experience as an Interior Designer and Art Curator, with a portfolio showcasing your design projects that integrate art in hotels in meaningful ways.
• In-depth knowledge of art history, contemporary art trends and artists across various mediums.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of construction and building codes, materials, finishes and furnishings.
• Excellent creative thinking, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Effective communication and ability to articulate design concepts and curatorial decisions to clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within specified budgets and timelines.
• Passion for interior design and art, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results that seamlessly blend both disciplines.
