The Caribbean Maritime University (CMU), the only specialized maritime university in the English-speaking Caribbean is inviting applications for Senior Lecturer (Level 8) and Lecturer (Level 7) posts.

SUMMARY

To provide academic support to the Faculties of Shipping and Logistics, Engineering and Applied Technology, and Marine and Nautical Studies by delivering the most modern and effective teaching and assessment methodologies; assist in developing the framework to facilitate and promote student and Faculty research projects; serves as resource person, mentor and coach assistant Lecturers and students; provides advice on the development of curricula and coordinate their implementation; teaches and presents papers at local and international fora; assists with the preparation of timetables and other training schedules; publishes conference papers and conduct presentations on advanced research topics.

Full time Faculty are needed for the following courses:

Senior Lecturer

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • A Master’s degree in related discipline and/or MSc Maritime Education & Training STCW Reg. III/2 Certificate, and/or Class 1 CoC deck/engine
  • At least 4 – 5 years’ experience at tertiary level
  • Research and conference peer review publications.
  • Computer Literacy
  • Experience in assessment, training and records management
