A highly reputable company in the IT and Print Solutions industry has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Technician. You will be joining a fast-paced, dedicated, and dynamic team that is revolutionizing the development of Managed Print Service in Jamaica and across the Caribbean.

Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of office equipment and for promoting and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with our service and products.

Primary Duties

  • Install, troubleshoot, monitor and repair printers.
  • Perform all IT related services to ensure optimum hardware performance.

Secondary Duties

  • Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective and efficient repair to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a record of issues and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to keep up the optimum response time and customer satisfaction.
  • Track metrics such as response time, calls per day, parts cost per call.
  • Train end users on the use and maintenance of the equipment
  • Procure tools and supplies for the operation.
  • Maintain equipment inventories.
  • Schedule and coordinate monthly maintenance and readings.
  • Any other relatable duties that may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude

  • Knowledge of Basic Networking.
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of copier and printer technology.
  • Detailed knowledge of computer and copier management software such as MS
  • Office.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend technical information.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

 Requirements & Qualification

  • CompTIAA+ or Network+ certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a copier technician.
  • Prior experience in the maintenance and repair of printers manufactured by Konica Minolta and Kyocera would be an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Able to work flexible shifts including weekends.
