The Loss Prevention officers (LPO) are responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of a company's employees, visitors, and associated property. LPO's are tasked with patrolling a designated area, responding to safety and security threats, and establishing a security presence.

Summary:

The Loss Prevention officers (LPO) are responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of a company's employees, visitors, and associated property. LPO's are tasked with patrolling a designated area, responding to safety and security threats, and establishing a security presence.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas as per post orders.
  • Patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security procedures
  • Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
  • Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents.
  • Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes)
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property.

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Maintaining the access control policy relevant to each post.
  • Maintaining/upkeep of all relevant logbooks at each post assigned.
  • Identification of safety hazards and security risks.
  • Well dressed and properly groomed.

  • EHSS Surveillance Supervisors
  • EHSS Specialist/Manager
  • EHSS Snr. Director
  • EHSS Vice President

 

Qualifications and requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent/ Training Certificate (Security)
  • Private Security Regulation Authority (PSRA) license.
  • Computer literate
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Previous security-related work experience preferred.
  • Prior Safety experience would be an asset.

Work Hours

  • 8 - 12hrs per day
  • 5 Days Weekly
  • Sunday to Saturday (24hr Operation)
