Business Analyst, TATIL

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst will represent the interests of the user in system design and software configurations for successful project implementation. The Business Analyst will be responsible for the collection, analysis, review, documentation, and communication of business needs and requirements. The Business Analyst is expected to develop application knowledge to provide end-user training and support for the application. Other duties will include bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders according to the Project Governance structure.

Job Description: 

• Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.
• Produce and/or update data business process maps, data flows diagrams, process models, and other business and operational documentation.
• Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
• Develops and utilizes standard templates to writer requirements specifications accurately and concisely.
• Validates requirements throughout the project, assuring compliance of the development outcomes with business goals.
• Story mapping – capture description of features from the end-user’s point of view, created within the functional requirements based on specifications and having compiled use cases.
• Establishes acceptance criteria for project deliverables based on business requirements and specifications.
• Recommends and institutes BA best practice and methodology and tools.
• Assists with prioritization of backlog items through best practice methods including MoSCoW, RICE, Kano Model, Eisenhower Matrix etc. as appropriate and relevant.
• Suggests changes to senior management using analytics to support recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes.
• Take primary responsibility for the application of business rules and frameworks towards configuration of the software as required by the business unit and based on structures provided by the vendor company.
•  Collaborates with the project, business and vendor teams towards the development/maintenance of the testing plan, training plan, creation of training manuals, user documentation, quick guides etc.
•  Identifies and stipulates testing needs to full accomplish end to end testing for all systems sunder project scope, preparing test cases for the various levels of testing.
• Executes test cases (inclusive of regression testing) and report defects within the established structures. Assist in defining the severity and priority of each defect.

Education and Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer systems, Information Systems or any other related fields of study or equivalent work experience.
• High level of expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Visio.
• Industry experience in insurance, specifically property and casual, is greatly desirable and would be considered a great asset.
• Mapping of business rules and requirements based on current state assessments to future state requirements.
• Test Cases Preparation and Execution of Testing, Manuals Preparation and Training guides.
• Ability to create test cases, perform scenario analysis, document business rules, perform gap analyses etc.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, as well as independently under own initiative.
