Job Summary

As our Graphic Designer you will be working closely with the Production team. He/ She will provide high quality, customer-focused and cost effective graphic and printing solutions. In this role you will manage all aspect of the graphic design and printing process, including but not limited to: to scheduling, planning, assembly and distribution of production work across digital and offline media. To be successful in this position, you must have a proven experience of delivering brilliant creative ideas and show amazing attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan graphic concepts by studying relevant information and materials provided by our clients.
  • Work with copywriters and creative team to produce final design incorporating art arrangement, size, type size and style
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
  • Schedule projects and define budget constraints
  • Create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites using software or by hand.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or industry Certificate in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related area of study
  • Strong Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop) 
  • A Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Expert Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator.
  • Experience working in a printing facility and/or pressroom environment will be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with direct to plate output, operation of an RIP Station, pica pole, e-scale, paper cutting, PMS color system etc.

  • A strong eye for visual composition.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
  • Creative and able to think outside the box 
  • Ability to meet deadlines 
  • Attention to detail and ability to problem solve 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent understanding of Print Advertising and Social media platforms
