Solutions Architect

 

  • Leads technical vision and direction for product
  • Responsible for stability, sustainability, and code quality
  • Co-responsible for building reusable developments
  • Prepares the solution design documentation for approval
  • Liaise with other members of the technical team to validate design feasibility
  • Presents proposed solution to relevant steering committee for approval
  • Review, analyses and make recommendations on system acquisition and/or upgrades to meet solution requirements
  • Contribute to the definition and management of the Architecture domain (Application, Data and Infrastructure), ensuring that both business and IT strategic objectives are aligned and achieved
  • Provide advice and guidance to Developers and others using the associated components of the solution design.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• First Degree in Computer Science/ Management Information Systems/ Computer Engineering or equivalent qualifications.  
• Minimum five (5) years working experience to include at least three (3) years related experience. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Lead Developer or Solution Architect for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
• Knowledge in the following areas would be an asset:
- Design principles
- Enterprise Architecture
- Solution documentation standards 
- Rapid development and deployment platforms 
- Cloud infrastructure
- Scrum Methodology
