ZIP 103 FM is seeking the services of a News, Sports & Entertainment Presenter/Producer. The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in entertainment coverage as well as be abreast of current news and sports stories.

JOB DESCRIPTION: NEWS, SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTER/ PRODUCER   

   ZIP 103 FM is seeking the services of a News, Sports & Entertainment Presenter/Producer. The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in entertainment coverage as well as be abreast of current news and sports stories.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES  

• Required to produce and write relevant and current original entertainment stories.
• Required to monitor a variety of news and sports sources to produce relevant stories.
• Required to attend events to ascertain original stories.
• Required to update news stories in a timely manner on digital platforms including website, app and social media.
• Expected to present live news casts daily.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree or equivalent in Media or Communications, or related field. 
• 2 years working experience, especially in the entertainment field.  
• Clear, pleasant, and trained voice with the ability to present on radio and video.  
• Ability to write and edit concise, grammatically correct copy without errors.  
• Excellent time management skills and an ability to deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  
• Demonstration of an entertainment blog/vlog would be an asset.

 Special Working Conditions:  

The nature of the job, which is an Essential Function, requires the incumbent to be on call outside assigned work hours; you may also be required to work long and irregular shifts during emergency situations and natural disasters.
