SENIOR CROWN COUNSEL SPECIALIST

Salary: PS 45    $179,853 (=U$ Equivalent)

The successful applicant will be working under the direction of the Deputy Solicitor General.  The post holder will provide high-level legal advice in accordance with ministerial policies and procedures and provide a range of professional legal services and advice to His/Her Excellency the Governor, Cabinet Ministers, Government Ministries and Departments, and other Government agencies.

The successful candidate must possess, a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in Land law, Conveyancing and Planning law, and experience in at least three (3) of the following areas of law: Stamp duty, Trusts, Land Valuation, Commercial law, Corporate law, and Security Interests.  The post holder must be a qualified Barrister and/or Attorney of a Commonwealth jurisdiction and a member of the Bermuda Bar Association or eligible to be a member.  Experience in a government legal environment is preferred and/or an extensive litigation and advisory background.
