Equipment Technician ( Coffee Vending )

Overview: Our client is one of the leading distributors and experts in high-grade coffee with a reputation for excellent customer service and premium coffee products. Due to growth they are seeking to recruit a proficient Equipment Technician who will be responsible for assigned installations, service and preventative maintenance calls and emergency call-outs based in the Barbados office.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Properly install, repair and perform routine maintenance on commercial & residential coffee

beverage equipment.

• Assertive in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.

• Maintain positive customer relations with a pro-active attitude in communication to resolve

customer issues and concerns.

• Ability to train customers on proper usage and minimal maintenance on equipment.

• Effectively communicate on site equipment, and customer concerns back to office.

• Connect water pipes and electrical wires ensuring that installations are compliant with

plumbing & electrical codes and standards.

• Responsible for accurately updating third party job portal with client status information

throughout the day.

• Maintains parts inventories, ordering repair/spare parts and keeping service records.

• Respond to “on call” service call-outs including after hours and weekends (as per schedule).

• Assists with upkeep and cleanliness of the warehouse and monthly/annual stock counts.

• Carries out other reasonable, related functions as required.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Technical qualifications in any Electrical/Mechanical or Plumbing discipline.

 • Reading equipment/job specifications.

• Valid drivers license and ability to drive service vehicle.

• Physically able to lift medium/heavy weight equipment.

• Flexibility in working on a high variety of equipment with continually changing inventory.

• 2 -3 years of related technical experience

• Ability to work on week-ends or after hours as required.
