INVENTORY MANAGER

 

We are seeking a detail oriented and organized Inventory Manager to manage our Inventory operations.

The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and availability of Inventory to meet customer demands, optimize stock levels and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory tracking system to ensure accuracy, control and accountability
  • Lead efforts to determine best minimum and maximum quantities for all warehouses
  • Use appropriate systems and technology to track Inventory movement and conduct investigations into transactions
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures and best practices to minimize waste and inventory discrepancies 
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records at all warehouses
  • Analyze Inventory data to uncover errors, identify root causes and trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure transfers to branch are allocated according to policy and timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with AEO standards throughout all operations
  • Conduct random checks at delivery points
  • Plan and direct stocktaking activities for all product categories in all locations and report findings to CFO and Directors.
  • Lead and direct the Inventory team in an efficient and effective manner ensuring optimum levels of productivity are achieved.
  • Visit all locations regularly to conduct audits and follow-up up on compliance issues that require investigation.
  • Monitor the movement of stock to ensure accountability throughout the process.
  • Manage Inventory staff, providing training, support and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with sales team to align inventory with promotional campaigns and seasonal demands
  • Work closely with warehouse management in the organization of the warehouse, receipt and distribution of inventory
  • Ensure compliance with safety and storage regulations

Qualification and Experience

  • BSc in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Management or any other related discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in inventory management at a managerial level
  • Experience in a distribution or retail sales environment would be an asset
  • Auditing experience will be highly considered
  • Ability to work within a cross functional team while managing multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Inventory management software and MS Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with sales trends and retail operations
