INVENTORY CLERK

 INVENTORY CLERK

Purpose of the Role

To lead the inventory management processes on a day to day basis with a strong focus on ensuring product availability to enhance the experience of the branch’s clients and increase profitability.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Monitor operational requirements of the inventory activities and ensure adherence to processes and procedures
  • Maintain timely and accurate inventory records
  • Organize, facilitate and participate in stock count and cycle count exercises
  • Coordinate inter-branch inventory transfers
  • Provide general supervision to the inventory team

 

Key Competences

  • Sound knowledge of warehousing and inventory management techniques
  • Unquestionable integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results oriented with good analytical and organizational skills

 

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Diploma in Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent
  • Certificate in Inventory Controls and Warehouse Management is considered an asset
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Accounting & Inventory Management Systems.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in an inventory related field
