The role of the Internal Auditor is to provide assurance on the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting, compliance with laws and regulations, and the efficiency of operations.
Main Accountabilities:
- Assessing Risk: Identifying and analyzing potential risks to the organization’s operations, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Testing Controls: Examining the effectiveness of internal controls designed to mitigate risks.
- Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring that the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal
- Policies.
- Reporting Findings: Communicating audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the audit
- committee.
- Follow-Up: Monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure issues are addressed
Qualifications, knowledge & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CMA). Minimum 5-8 years of internal audit experience. Experience in external auditing, finance or accounting
- Proficiency in audit software and technologies
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Proficient in MS Office
