Instrument/Electrical Technician

About the Role:

As an Instrument / Electrical Technician, you will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure the efficiency and safety of our clients’ operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Instrumentation:

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain flow meters, transmitters, sensors, analyzers, and control valves.
  • Troubleshoot and repair process instruments, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • Conduct loop checks and function tests.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibrations and repairs.

Electrical:

  • Install, repair, and maintain motors, drives, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot faults and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Industry-Specific Duties:

  • Mining/Alumina: Maintain belt and truck scales, support process control in caustic soda and calcination stages.
  • Oil Refinery: Maintain tank gauging, flame detectors, and safety systems.
  • Food & Beverage: Maintain flow meters, batch controllers, and ensure compliance with sanitary equipment standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial instrumentation and electrical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, codes, and standards
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
