Industrial Mechanic

The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, servicing and maintaining a range of mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Preventative maintenance and routine inspection of the machinery to ensure proper performance.
• Ensure parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions.
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions
• Repairing or replacing damaged parts.
• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on the machinery.
• Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments
• Performing major repair work when necessary.
• Any other related duties assigned.

Education/Training & Experience

• High School Diploma/ Certification or formal training in a relevant field
• Five (5) years of experience as a Mechanic
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools would be an asset.
• Knowledge in transport systems, pumps, gearboxes, welding, valves, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, lubrication.
• Electrical knowledge would be an asset
