This role will be tasked with monitoring and analysing security threats, implementing robust security controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines applicable to banking operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Security Lead will serve as the linchpin between Ansa Bank's IT security framework and regulatory compliance requirements. The responsibilities of this role will include:
- Collaborating seamlessly with Group IT Security to identify, assess, and mitigate.
cybersecurity risks inherent to the bank's digital infrastructure.
- Vigilantly monitoring security events and conducting in-depth analyses to identify potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Developing and implementing tailored security controls, policies, and procedures to fortify the bank's defenses and protect its critical assets from cyber intrusions.
- Establishing direct lines of communication with regulatory authorities to ensure adherence to banking industry regulations and standards governing cybersecurity practices.
- Providing expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance obligations unique to the banking sector.
- Actively participating in cybersecurity audits, risk assessments, and incident response efforts to bolster the bank's resilience against cyber threats.
- Contributing proactively to the enhancement of cybersecurity awareness training programs designed to educate bank employees on cyber risk mitigation strategies.
- Staying abreast of emerging cyber threats, industry trends, and regulatory developments to inform risk management strategies tailored to the bank's specific operational environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a
related field.
- An advanced degree will be considered an asset.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity roles within the banking or financial services industry.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cybersecurity teams in a banking
environment, including knowledge of banking-specific security requirements and
regulations.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies commonly used in banking
environments, such as secure banking applications, anti-fraud systems, secure
payment gateways, etc.
- Experience in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and controls tailored to the unique risks and compliance requirements of the banking sector.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to banks
- Experience in conducting security assessments, audits, and incident response activities specific to banking systems and processes.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams within a bank, including IT, risk management, compliance, and business units, to address security challenges and mitigate risks effectively.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in banking cybersecurity, such as mobile banking security, cloud security, etc.
