We are seeking a highly skilled IT Technician to join our team.  A leading company providing innovative and reliable security solutions. The IT Technician will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the company’s IT infrastructure, with a focus on ensuring the seamless operation of security systems and related technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and security of IT systems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and security systems. This includes surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and other security devices.
  • Network Support: Manage and maintain company networks, ensuring optimal performance and security of internal and external communications. Troubleshoot network issues and resolve connectivity problems.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to employees and clients, diagnosing and resolving IT-related issues. Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software problems related to security systems.
  • Security Systems Configuration: Install and configure security software and hardware, ensuring the protection of company data and security infrastructure.
  • System Monitoring: Regularly monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues to ensure minimal downtime of IT and security systems. Perform system updates and backups as necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of system configurations, network diagrams, and IT inventory. Prepare and update documentation for ongoing IT processes, including troubleshooting guides.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all IT systems are compliant with company and industry security policies, including regular security audits and assessments. Assist in implementing security protocols to protect company assets.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for technical support and procurement of IT equipment and software.
  • Training & Support: Train staff on the proper use of security and IT equipment and software. Provide ongoing support to staff for IT-related needs.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:

    • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience working as an IT Technician or in a similar role, preferably within the security or related industries.
    • Experience with security systems, CCTV, access control systems, and other surveillance technologies is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to IT infrastructure.
    • Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), Biometric systems and other security softwares.
    • Familiarity with network configurations (LAN/WAN), VPNs, routers, and firewalls.
  • Key Competencies:

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in working with cloud-based security systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring and management tools.
