The IT Technician will take on the responsibility of monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing the company's computer systems and networks. The role includes the installation, configuration and diagnosing issue of new hardware and software.

Position: IT TECHNICIAN

The IT Technician will take on the responsibility of monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing the company's computer systems and networks. The role includes the installation and configuration of new hardware and software, as well as diagnosing and resolving technical and application problems encountered by users.

The individual in this position will collaboratively develop, modify, and revise IT policies with the rest of the team. They will also be tasked with ensuring the completion of relevant and accurate documentation within specified timelines.

This role requires a proactive and solutions-oriented professional who can efficiently manage and optimize IT systems to support the organization's operations.

The Technician is expected to display good interpersonal skills as you will be interacting with colleagues from various departments and Clients. You are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions

JOB DUTIES

  • Customer Service
  • Upgrade and manage local software configurations.
  • Install and set up catalogue software for sales representatives.
  • Oversee and supervise the security camera system.
  • Coordinate meetings with external contractors to discuss the camera system and generate pertinent reports.
  • Administer user accounts in Active Directory, Office 365, and local software applications. 
  • Configure user profiles for roaming access.
  • Troubleshoot and recover hardware or software failures.
  •  Provide end-to-end technical support for both hardware and software issues.
  • Manage client-based computer operating systems configurations and operations.
  • Implement offsite backup procedures for local software and databases monthly.
  • Develop and propose recommendations for future system upgrades.
  • Administer IT resources including printers, computers, and computer hardware.
  • Manage malware protection software, apply patches, and oversee other security processes.
  • Monitor network for stability, optimum performance, and security.
  • Install and evaluate computer-related equipment for functionality.
  • Oversee computer software/hardware inventory management.
  • Handle toner inventory management.
  • Maintain and supervise firewall operations.
  • Manage and supervise servers. 
  • Maintain and supervise the Grandstreem PBX System.
  • Installation and configuration of system hardware and software.
  • Provide daily system support and operations assistance to personnel.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues both in-person and remotely.
  • Assist employees with computer-related issues and queries.
  • Conduct IT system training for users.
  • Perform any other duties required to ensure the adequate flow of operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant industry qualification and cerification.

• Minimum of three years of related experience.

• In-depth knowledge of SQL Servers, Microsoft Windows Servers and PCs, Firewall, Network infrastructure, Microsoft Cloud computing, virtualization, Grandstreem PBX Systems, 

• Knowledge programming languages is an asset
