IT Support Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Provide technical assistance to computer system users this means setting up new technologies, configuring systems and providing everyday technical support for the individuals using the computer systems and I.T. network.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems,
  • and appropriate software.
  • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
  • Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements For upgrades.
  • Ensure that company assets are maintained responsibly to include all printers.
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all printers on a quarterly basis.
  • Assists in other duties as needed and directed.
  • Support users with profile resets (s2k, email, windows) account enabling, excel access and host Printers.
  • Site to Site firewall configuration
  • Provide ID services for Companies

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Minimum of an Bachelor  Degree in Information Techology or equivalent
  • Three  (3) years working experience in a relatable role

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  •  Excellent Time Management and Customer Service skills.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Must be meticulous with a keen attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in the use of analytics and Excel to extract data and prepare reports, must be able to problem solve
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware and applications 
  • Basic networking knowledge 
  • Basic Hardware repair service 
  • Active Directory Knowledge
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to function independently and handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure.
  • Tech-savvy with ability to use a variety of online tools such as online messenger applications, and project management applications.
