Overview:
Eye Q Optical is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a growth-focused, collaborative environment where unique perspectives and excellence are valued. The successful candidate will provide technical support across multiple Eye Q Optical locations, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems to support our daily operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day technical support for computer systems, software, hardware, and network devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as system failures, network disruptions, and software errors.
  • Install and configure new hardware and software, ensuring integration with existing systems.
  • Monitor and maintain network security, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and oversee software licenses.
  • Set up and configure workstations, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide on-site support to various practice locations as needed.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to maintain and enhance systems.
  • Optimize system performance and uptime through proactive monitoring.
  • Ensure IT systems comply with company policies and industry standards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proven experience in IT Support or a similar role, with expertise in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, network management, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols, routers, firewalls, and best practices in network security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Strong multitasking and task prioritization abilities.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are an advantage.
  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
