The IT Solutions Analyst works independently across various business areas, liaising with counterparts to align business needs with IT. They engage in daily activities and analysis, offering advice based on their technical expertise and may mentor junior staff.

On any given day, WFP has 5,600 trucks, 30 ships and nearly 100 planes on the move, delivering food and other assistance to those in most need. These numbers lie at the roots of WFP’s unparalleled reputation as an emergency responder, one that gets the job done quickly at scale in the most difficult environments. WFP’s efforts focus on emergency assistance, relief and rehabilitation, development aid and special operations. Two-thirds of our work is in conflict-affected countries where people are three times more likely to be undernourished than those living in countries without conflict.
In 2018, WFP re-established its presence in the Caribbean with an office in Barbados. The WFP Caribbean Multi- Country Office supports 22 countries and territories across the English- and Dutch speaking Caribbean. WFP Caribbean's capacity strengthening programme focuses on vulnerability analysis and mapping; end-to-end supply chain management; shock-responsive social protection; food systems strengthening; and climate risk financing. In times of crisis, WFP works with partners to provide direct assistance when events surpass national and regional capacities by delivering food, cash or voucher assistance, or through emergency logistics or emergency service provision. The role will operate with minimal supervision across several business areas maintaining contacts with business counterparts to bring business needs into IT. They are heavily involved in day–to-day activities and analytical work. Job holders provide advice on business needs using their technical knowledge and experience. They may provide guidance to more junior staff. Purpose: Partner with the business to understand their needs and operating environment in order to transform business requirements into solutions exploiting IT capabilities and focusing on business satisfaction.
1.Capture, analyze and document (i.e. through diagrams, flowcharts, data models, user experience designs, storyboards) business requirements for IT solutions and services following WFP policies, standards and strategies.
2. Communicate business requirements to business counterparts, for a shared understanding of the requirements and effective implementation of strategies/plans.
3. Baseline and track business requirements through to implementation ensuring efficient management of change.
4. Test and analyze IT solutions and document the match against business requirements for quality and accuracy.
5. Establish and maintain close partnerships with business counterparts to effectively meet their needs.
6. Manage the service catalog of IT solutions offered to the business, including current, retired and those in the pipeline to ensure effective knowledge management.
7. Manage alignment of IT service levels with Service Level Agreements for solutions or services focused on the business needs. Conduct survey on business satisfaction with IT solutions and services.
8. Manage estimates, business cases, planning, risk identification, problem and issue management to ensure the effective delivery of IT solutions.
9. Adhere to processes, procedures and templates for the Business Relationship Management, Business Analysis and IT Project Management functions to ensure compliance and consistency.
