The successful candidate will support the Infrastructure Manager & Caricom NITSO (National Information Technology Security Officer) in managing and overseeing identified aspects of information technology risks and security within Caricom.

KPMG in Caricom is seeking to hire a talented, highly motivated IT Security Officer to join our growing IT Services department in Kingston, Jamaica.
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will support the Infrastructure Manager & Caricom NITSO (National Information Technology Security Officer) in managing and overseeing identified aspects of information technology risks and security within Caricom. Based on the nature of our business the IT Security Officer will/may be required to work outside of normal business hours when required to monitor/address security incidents as they arise.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Incident Response
- Triage, assign and respond to security incidents within the required SLAs on the basis of the priority assigned.
- Ensure all responses to security incidents include the proper RCA and documentation utilizing various security and other tools.
- Updating incident management/response documentation as directed by the NITSO as a member of the incident response team
Compliance
- Support the CARICOM NITSO with annual/periodic IPCR testing and remediation as assigned.
- Support on-going user awareness and compliance with Global Acceptable User Policies (GAUP) and Global Information Security Policies (GISP).
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, policies and knowledgebase as needed.
- Perform reviews of installed software in accordance with KPMG’s policies.
- Support the Infrastructure team with maintaining compliance
Monitoring
- Support the CARICOM NITSO with annual/periodic IPCR testing and remediation as assigned.
- Support on-going user awareness and compliance with Global Acceptable User Policies (GAUP) and Global Information Security Policies (GISP).
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, policies and knowledgebase as needed.

Security Awareness
- Keep up-to-date with current IT security issues and trends
- Knowledge of the requirements of the GAUP, GISP, GQRM (Global Quality & Risk Management) and the various security standards to ensure appropriate discharge of IT security responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- BSc. in Computer Science
- 3 years of experience in IT
Experience:
- Previous IT experience working with end-users and addressing security issues/incidents.
- CompTIA Security Plus certification would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 products including Projects, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- General understanding of network security appliances and endpoint security applications
- Understanding of networks, file servers and wireless technology; previous exposure to the Windows networking environment.
Requirements:
- Previous IT experience working with end-users and addressing security issues/incidents.
- CompTIA Security Plus certification would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 products including Projects, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- General understanding of network security appliances and endpoint security applications
