OUR NEED

We are seeking a Systems Solutions Architect who will ensure that our Business and IT solutions are developed in alignment with meeting our business needs.  The System Solutions Architect is expected to combine Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Project Management, Software Engineering skills and other relevant disciplines to assist the business in acquiring, implementing, deploying, integrating and maintaining IT solutions and to solve our business problems.

KEY DUTIES

Included among the responsibilities of the role are: -

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gain an understanding of their solution requirements and operational processes and be able to design solutions, develop software roadmaps, train and document project implementation plans.
  • Build and sustain key relationships after solutions have been implemented to ensure quality, and reliability.
  • Determine the resources and timelines required for projects and deliverables for objectives.
  • Review and track status of project and periodically report to management or key stakeholders.
  • Work as part of a skilled team committed to delivering quality implementation & integration projects, and wider teams that cross the development, support, infrastructure, and data functions. 
  • Support risk management and mitigation throughout the lifecycle of the implementation, ensuring timely communication of any unresolved risks and review for quality assurance.
  • Increase customer awareness, adopt by creating and implementing change management plans and activities that will enable improvements to increase benefit realization, value creation, and return on investment.

DESIRED BACKGROUND/SKILLS

The incumbent should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related ICT and Formal Certification in Project Management (Project Management Professional or related qualification) will be an asset. 
  • Minimum of seven (7) years work experience in managing projects for software development, implementation, and deployment.  Experience in the manufacturing sector will be an asset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Software Engineering. (Proficiency in Microsoft .NET, .NET Framework, or Python-Django, or Full Stack development for web-enabled, mobile and / or middleware services, and familiarity with Business Process Management would be an asset)
  • Proficient in understanding of database administration, data management practices, data architecture principles, and data governance processes as well as manage multiple projects and varied deadlines.
  • Experienced in Change Management and the ability to problem-solve and operate effectively within a dynamic, results-driven environment.
  • Ability to use diplomacy and tact and build trust and leadership with the teams.
  • Good Interpersonal and communicative skills as well as experience in managing a Project team.
  • Good analytical and interpretative judgment, reporting and forecasting skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project.
