The is postholder also expected to oversee the execution, and delivery of multiple complex IT projects and programs simultaneously, coordinating cross-functional teams within the organization. The IT Program Manager is responsible for defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, as well as monitoring progress, managing risks, and communicating status to stakeholders.
Information Technology forms the backbone of essential government services, with the Computer Services Department playing a vital role. The incumbent will collaborate with a team of Information Technology (IT) professionals dedicated to delivering top-tier solutions across all Ministries.
The department has a total staff complement of 95 with a total operating budget of approximately CI$16.3 million. The post-holder is tasked with procuring and overseeing the procurement of roughly CI $2.5 million annually in IT software solutions, and enterprise infrastructure, including network, server, and storage solutions, as well as desktops, laptops, and computer peripherals. The volume of work is variable and demand-driven, responding to customer needs and tasks generated within the Ministry/Portfolio, Department, or Cost Centre.
