Key Insurance Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the following  position:

IT Officer

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring IT processes are documented and maintained while monitoring performance of the Company’s communications software and hardware.  The IT Officer will be responsible for managing IT Risk Control Metrics, conduct regular data audits and partner with all key business areas to ensure data privacy and security compliance.

The position is based in Kingston. Our ideal candidate is a tenacious and result oriented individual, with strong communication and relationship building skills and the ability to plan and implement major changes to the company’s IT infrastructure.  At minimum, applicants should possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Studies, Information Technology, or designation in related discipline
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in an IT or related role such as Database Administrator, Business Analyst or Systems Analyst ; Project Management, Risk and Compliance experience would be an asset
  • Knowledge of networking, IT system configuration, Data Warehousing, technical and operational processes
  • Knowledge of Data Privacy Laws and Practices
  • Working Knowledge of MS SQL Server and other related databases
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and techniques
  • Good time management and the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, poise, tact and diplomacy
  • High level of confidentiality, honesty, integrity, creativity, persistence and achievement orientation
  • Sound negotiating and decision making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint etc.]
