IT Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
• Design, develop, implement and/or coordinate systems, policies and procedures as required.
• Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Lead on IT projects as required.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational efficiency.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
• Audit systems and assess their effectiveness.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
• Prepare IT annual budget.
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
• Perform any other job duties as required by the job function.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline.
• A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
• At least eight (8) years’ experience in Information Technology, programming or related field.
• Experience managing an IT team.
• Demonstrated record of analyzing and implementing technology to solve business needs.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Expertise in data centre management and data governance.
• Experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication & technical skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Meticulous with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to create and lead high performance team.
