To assist the Regional IT Internal Audit Manager in executing the internal audit plan and take a lead role in the day-to-day execution of audits as well as any special requests from Audit Management.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

• Execute the full cycle of the audit from planning through to the review process and completion of the summary report, recommendations, tracking and follow-up to meet the objective of ongoing provision of assurance to the organization in the operations of the control environment.
• Perform IT audit engagements, assessing risks and the quality of controls and operating procedures of audit entities within the region to deliver on the annual approved Audit Plan.
• Execute walkthroughs of the processes and the type of system supporting them, to assess and document the understanding of the related design and effectiveness.
• Ensure work papers accurately document work performed and are in accordance with the generally accepted auditing standards.
• Perform research and demonstrate a good understanding of in-scope technology, business functions, products, and practices to comprehensively assess and document underlying business risks.
• Seek to continuously improve audit techniques and methodologies to support optimal efficiency.
• Ensure a high level of collaboration and cooperation with business and functional audit teams during integrated audits.
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with management and personnel at all levels of the organization, ensuring value from audit engagements is delivered.
• As part of the Internal Audit team, keep up to date on current activities, regulations, technological advances, audit pronouncements and information significant to the profession.
• Perform any other related duties that may be assigned to you in an efficient and effective manner.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science.
• Three (3) years of IT audit experience, or a suitable combination of Auditing and IT Operations experience.
• Certified as a CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA or other applicable professional designation, or be willing to work towards attaining the CISA or CIA certification.
• Strong knowledge of IT and Information Security operations, policies and procedures; system development life cycle methodology; and IT automated controls.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Strong problem solving, report writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience in leading auditing practices, techniques and principles.
• Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills in using MS Excel would be an asset.
• Experience with data analysis and computer-assisted auditing techniques.
• Experience in conducting IT Security Assessments.
• Knowledge of, and experience with Business Process documentation and flowcharting would be an asset.
