Human Resources Officer

Foster positive workplace relationships, ensuring employee satisfaction and performance, and aligning HR policies with the company's objectives. Collaboration with business lines to understand and support HR requirements is a key aspect of this role.

• Responsibilities:
  • Industrial Relations & Employee Relations: handle grievances, disputes and conflict resolution, promoting a harmonious work environment.
  • Employee Engagement: support on the development, implementation and management of employee engagement strategies, initiatives and programs.
  • Policy Administration: manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date, compliant and accessible to employees.
  • Business Line Collaboration: Support the manager on strategic initiatives.
  • Recruitment & Selection: manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process for all permanent and fixed-term contract non-management positions.
  • Leadership & Supervision: supervise two HR staff members ensuring their professional growth.
  • Assist with planning and executing of all social events managed by the HR Department.
  • Perform any other duties as directed/ assigned.
• Qualifications
  • BSc in Human Resources, Management, Management Studies or any other related field
  • Certificate in Industrial Relations will be an asset
• Experience
  • At least three to five (3-5) years of experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on industrial relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Supervisory experience will be an asset
