Human Resources & Administrative Officer

Rhino Jamaica Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources & Administrative Officer to join their team and contribute to the company's continued success.

Role Summary:

The Human Resources & Administrative Officer will provide critical support to the General Manager, ensuring the effective administration of HR functions. This role involves recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with workplace safety and labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including interviewing, testing, and reference checks.
  • Organize new employee orientation, onboarding, and training programs.
  • Administer the Company's Group Health Plan and Pension benefits.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files and leave entitlements.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with performance appraisals and employee counseling.
  • Mediate workplace disputes and organize disciplinary hearings.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, occupational health and safety standards, and statutory regulations.
  • Plan and organize staff functions and training initiatives.
  • Manage payroll-related queries and leave administration.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resurce Management or related field.
    • Proven experience in human resources and administrative roles.
    • Strong knowledge of HR concepts, labor laws, and industrial relations practices.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR management systems.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • High level of emotional intelligence and professionalism.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
