The HR Officer play a key role in providing technical and administrative support and executing initiatives aimed at optimizing employee satisfaction.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Oversee the administration of employee leave requests, including vacation, sick leave, and other types of leave via the leave platform.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee leave balances and absences.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to leave in all territories.
  • Manage the documentation and approvals of leaves between management and employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding leave monitoring and absences. 
  • Tracking, handling, and following up on outstanding leave documents and approvals in a timely manner.
  • Addressing questions and providing updates regarding adjustments made during leave.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to support the assessment of employee needs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring the company’s Rewards and Recognition program.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to support the assessment of employee needs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in executing employee engagement programs, including events, workshops, and reward and recognition initiatives.
  • Help organize and facilitate team-building activities and employee recognition programs.
  • Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to measure employee engagement levels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures inclusive of those related to employee engagement.
  • Ensure all expenses are aligned within approved budget for engagement activities.
  • Oversee the administration of employee leave requests, including vacation, sick leave, and other types of leave.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, managing correspondence and upkeep of records management. 
  • Administrative support to Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition.
  • Assist in maintaining HR records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support HR-related projects and initiatives.
  • Maximize individual productivity by being organized and having a sound work ethic.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Division’s goals by demonstrating an active interest and involvement in all aspects of the Division’s operations.
KEY TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Proficiency in using HRIS platforms for managing employee data, leave tracking, and performance management.
  • Ability to analyze HR data and generate insights from engagement surveys, performance metrics, and other relevant information.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools. Familiarity with data management and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure company policies and practices are legally compliant.
  • Proficiency in using communication and collaboration tools (e.g., email, instant messaging, video conferencing) to effectively interact with employees and teams.
  • Ability to manage HR projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of IR related laws.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certificate in Microsoft Office Suite
  • High comfort level with digital tools, survey platforms
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Certificate in Industrial Relations.
  • Four (4) to five (5) years of work experience in a similar role within HR or in organizing and facilitating employee engagement activities and programs.
Fixed Term Contract - Six (6) months
