Human Resource Manager

Delta Supply Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead their HR operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment, training and development, employee relations, policy formulation, and compliance with Jamaican labour laws. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, and candidate vetting.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Develop and implement training programs, including orientation, cross-training, and external courses.
  • Manage employee appointments, separations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain HR-related documents, employee files, and the employee handbook in compliance with Jamaican labour laws.
  • Formulate and implement HR policies to support company objectives.
  • Administer employee benefits (pension, life, and health insurance) and liaise with external providers.
  • Monitor corporate culture to align with company goals and foster employee satisfaction.
  • Create and manage the HR budget, including training allocations.
  • Investigate complaints and oversee disciplinary actions.
  • Provide HR reports to the General Manager.
  • Contribute to the company’s social outreach initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management OR
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR management role.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of labour and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and coaching skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible attitude and approach.
