The incumbent will report to the Group Industrial Relations Manager in managing multiple HR Functions.

The incumbent will report to the Group Industrial Relations Manager in managing multiple HR Functions. To support the Strategic Human Resource Functions of the department he/she will provide HR and IR services to companies and other departments within Guardsman Group.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Participates in the recruitment, selection, onboarding and appointment of staff at the Group office
  • Prepare verification (Job Letters, Employee Contracts etc..) for employees
  • Draft various documents and correspondence within the department to include compensation and benefits, labour relations, recruitment and selection, disciplinary matters
  • Manage the Groups Health & Life Plan (ie: inclusion of staff, omission of staff)
  • Act as the first point of contact for the HR related queries/grievances form employees and external partners
  • Manage and maintain employee personnel records via the HR Information System by processing all new employees, status changes, department changes, terminations etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the Group Industrial Relations Manager and Labour Relation Specialist in settlement of disputes which includes preparation of correspondence, emails, calendar management, scheduling meetings and disciplinary hearings
  • Attend Union meetings provides administrative support in the settlement of Union contracts
  • Prepare briefs and draft correspondence as required, in coordination with the Legal Manager for submission to Ministry of Labour and Industrial Disputes Tribunal
  • Coordinate with HR Managers within the group for monthly meeting providing administrative support
  • Liaise with department heads at the group office for recruitment needs along with the Shared Services Recruitment Team
  • Handle confidential information with discretion, ensuring sensitive communication remains secure
  • Perform other related duties consistent with the category, nature, function and objective of the job
