AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: to serve as the strategic interface between HR and Line Management, develop and implement people strategies that contribute to a safe working environment, people development, accomplishment of the Company strategy and optimize Business Performance within a respectful and caring environment.
The successful candidate is a by example leader who connects at all levels within the organisation with a visible passion for creating, supporting and developing winning teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

People Strategy
 
•Translates the OpCo people strategy, in collaboration with the functional lead, into executional activities for workforce engagement.
•Creates employee resourcing, succession and talent development plans for assigned function.
•Ensures functional alignment with global functional people plans.
•Ensures the execution, implementation, application and management of HR policies, regulations, procedures, systems and tools.
•Identifies and addresses health and/or human-interest issues and potential risks in order to maintain the right conditions for a sustainable, healthy workforce.
•Drives the digital people agenda, through the Human Resource Information System and Learning Platforms.
 
Performance Management (PM)
 
•Steers the PM Cycle, safeguards the quality of feedback for ratings and support qualitative Performance Development and Improvement Plans.
•Implements, executes and monitors performance management strategy to improve employee performance.
•Recommends coaching, cross learning and develop solutions to enhance performance.
Employee Engagement & Organization Development,

•Implements communication and engagement plans to promote a respectful, inclusive working climate.
•Actively leads the change agenda by reviewing and challenging organizational structures and the ways of working for improvement.
•Addresses, diagnoses and analyses organizational and or collaboration challenges and leads improvements.
•Reviews reward and recognition programmes for effectiveness and relevance.
•Coordinates and optimizes the required HR processes including health and safety frameworks for protection of mental and physical health.
 
Recruitment & Talent Management

•Identifies and addresses capability needs (knowledge, skills and behaviour) to source, select and recruit talent in line with business need.
•Leads the review process to map talent needs, identify potential and development needs/actions to close talent gaps.
•Executes onboarding programmes to ensure new hires are effectively introduced to the organisation.
•Creates and implements functional plans for identification and continuation of key positions. Coordinates critical development experiences for succession.
 
Labour Relations

•Conducts effective, thorough and objective work place investigations.
•Ensures adherence to Labour Laws and Collective Labour Agreements.
•Facilitates labour relations across complex environment and proposes appropriate actions for resolution of conflicts.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
 
•Master’s Degree; preferably in Human Resources, or Management or an HR Related Field.
•Minimum of four (4) years leadership experience in Human Resources.
•A recognised international professional Human Resource certification would be an asset.
•Displayed competency re; knowledge and application of the Saint Lucia Labour Act.

•Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
