JOB DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATION

POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCE ADMINISTRATOR
SALARY: $7,500.00
DEPARTMENT: HUMAN CAPITAL
REPORTS TO: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
SUPERVISION GIVEN TO: N/A
JOB SUMMARY: To provide the full suite of HR operational services to the line, with specific responsibility for all non-supervisory positions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

⚫ Undertakes the full range of functions for recruitment, selection and appointment of junior level positions.

⚫ Assists with the recruitment process of all other positions by scheduling interviews, conducting references checks, and administering tests as required.

⚫ Administers, processes and monitors the performance management system (probationary reports, annual/ quarterly appraisals, PD documents etc.) to ensure compliance with proper performance standards, for all Junior position.

⚫ Conducts exits interviews for all junior level positions.

⚫ Establishes, organizes and maintains department records (Files& HRIS), ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality for all junior level positions.

⚫ Prepares all required and requested staff letters.

⚫ Coordinates the distribution and administration of uniforms.

⚫ Administers staff benefits (group health, pension, life, cash accounts, Hire Purchase accounts and cash loans) recommends approval for those meeting the criteria, with respect to those positions under their charge.

⚫ Participates in the evaluation of jobs so that they may be internally ranked.

⚫ Updates and Monitors the vacation leave management system.

⚫ Assists Human Resource Officers with branch visits to address customer service issues.

⚫ Prepares minutes for all Industrial Relations meetings.


JOB SPECIFICATION: QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

⚫ Diploma/ Associate Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related discipline.

⚫ Minimum two (2) years’ experience within a Human Resource environment with similar responsibilities.


SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

⚫ Knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques.

⚫ Knowledge of operating HR policies and procedures.

⚫ Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

⚫ Good Organisational skills.

⚫ Good Administrative skills.

⚫ Computer literacy MS Office Suite.
