3. RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Ensures Supervision of all departments under control.
- Plans labour and other resources for continuity of services.
- Ensures communication to the team via notice boards, rosters, whatsapp groups and other mediums.
- Ensures completion of all monthly departmental quality audits and associated curtain changes and deepcleans.
- Chairs monthly meetings with teams in conjuction with Duty Manager and contributes with Meeting Minutes
- Maintains a professional manner and high level of customer service at all times.
- KPI’s and Quality monitoring.
- Produced rosters and timekeeping documentation.
- Managers stock levels and stock ordering.
- Budget awareness in relation to ensuring all costs are managed efficiently.
- Ensuring Best practices at all times.
- Ensures all cleaning duties associated with the department are maintained in order to maintain a clean environment and adhere to cleaning schedules.
- Ensures MSDS, SSOW and Risk Assessments are maintained and updated as required by the business.
- Works closely with Management and IPC to ensure that best practice and excellence is achieved with regards to infection control surveillance and management.
- Raises any concerns over Health & Safety breaches in accordance with company Procedure
- To create and maintain discipline on a contract site in order that the agreed specification is carried out within set budgets.
- Ensures that accurate timekeeping and personnel information is maintained at all times.
- Ensures management of laundry services is carried out in line with Interhealth Canada Ltd (ICL) policy.
- Follows all universal precautions, blood borne pathogen procedures and uses personal protective equipment as needed while cleaning patient care areas.
- Complies with hygiene, health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legislation and ICL practice requirements.
- Ensures safe working practices at all times and supports the implementation of best practice policies.
- Ensures adequate availability of equipment, labour, cleaning materials and consumables are available at all times to facilitate the effective running of the Domestic, Portering & Laundry Department.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information and material received or communicated at TCI Hospitals.
- Trains and develops at staff within their remit to ensure compliance, safety and customer care are paramount.
- Supports Manager with all Personnel Related functions in the department including, training, mentoring, developing, performance managing and disciplinary action as required.
- Attends inservices and participates in continuing professional development opportunities.
- Performs other professional duties as may be assigned within his/her scope and ability.
