In a normal day of operations, you will be expected to work with the operations team to assist with creating a memorable guest stay, shopping and dining experience by providing the finest quality of service to the guests, Owners, and their guests.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Practice proper telephone etiquette
  • Always have a happy demeanor when meeting, greeting and serving guests.
  • Up sell BEYC products at every opportunity.
  • Be the first point of contact for all guests on the property and on the telephone.
  • Follow up with any guest requests.
  • Follow all BEYC guest responsibilities.
  • Follow and utilize all standards that are taught in training sessions.
  • Other duties from the ones listed below may be asked of you by the Supervisor or Manager

 

RETAIL RESPONSIBILITES

  • Cleans the store, wipes all counters and exposed shelves and ensures the store is in order for guests to enter upon reporting to work.
  • Checks stock on the shelves, makes a list of items which need to be replenished and re-stocks shelves once items are delivered.
  • Performs all guest and staff transactions and credit card verifications.
  • Ensures there is an adequate quantity of supplies to conduct business for the day, i.e. bags, charge slips, etc.
  • Assists guest with selections of merchandise.
  • Maintains shops cleanliness and order throughout the day.
  • Helps Retail Manager with monthly inventories.
  • Participates in monthly retail meeting and weekly department meeting when required.
  • Folds, hangs, arranges and tags merchandise.
  • Updates the system upon receipt of goods
  • Makes suggestion to Retail Manager on regular or special items that customers were looking for in the shop.

 

 

 

F&B RESPONSIBILITES

  • Record all guest information on the reservation sheet for the meal period that is worked.
  • Prepare all menus and wine lists and restaurant front podium in preparation for service.
  • Greet and seat all guests by the BEYC F&B standards.
  • Inform servers of the guest’s information; in-house or outside guests, special information ie; birthdays etc.
  • Be always presentable and approachable.
  • Carry out cleaning duties as required by the supervisor.
  • Take food and beverage orders and serve guest 
  • Clearing tables and ensuring the overall cleanliness of restaurant
  • Polish cutlery and wrap roll ups.
  • Assists servers as needed in their duties during the delivery of service
  • Position décor before shift
  • Folds napkins in preparation for service
  • Follow restaurant handover procedures and utilize log book
  • Coordinate breaks with the Supervisor
  • Follow opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure float balances at the beginning and end of every shift
  • Secure float in accounting office

 

GUEST SERVICES RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Coordinate and execute all guest arrivals and departures for the Rooms.
  • Coordinate and organize all guest requests, activities, events, and itineraries.
  • Assist resort guests with making dinner reservations
  • Check in with guests throughout the day and upsell activities for the next day
  • Ensure all emails and phone calls are followed up within 24 hours.
  • Assist other departments in busier periods, or in times of need
