The Hospitality Attendant is required to prepare and serve light snacks and refreshments and maintain kitchen and other office areas in a hygienic manner.

Summary:

The Hospitality Attendant is required to prepare and serve light snacks and refreshments and maintain kitchen and other office areas in a hygienic manner.

 

Education, Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Evidence of having completed secondary level education
  • TTHTI - Certificate in Hospitality Service or Certificate in Housekeeping will be an asset
  • Certificate in Customer Service will be an asset

 

 

  • Working  knowledge of OSH
  • Knowledge of office protocol
  • Working knowledge of the supplies and methods of food preparation
  • Working knowledge of cleaning materials and supplies
  • Knowledge of the care and use of kitchen equipment, appliances and utensils

 

 

  • Two (2) years’ experience, performing similar functions in a corporate environment

OR

Equivalent combination of Qualification, Training and Experience

 

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Greetings

  • Greets and/or directs visitors to assigned offices or meeting rooms in a courteous manner

 Service

  • Ensures that meeting rooms are prepared in advance of scheduled meetings
  • Ensures that meeting rooms are kept tidy by cleaning and/or removing used utensils etc.
  • Prepares and serves  food, snacks and liquid refreshments during meetings and at scheduled intervals
  • Answers incoming calls and provides assistance  as may be necessary

        Clean and safe environment

  • Advises the administrative staff of any issues relevant to cleanliness of the Reception areas, kitchen areas and/or meeting rooms
  • Assists with general cleaning and tidying of office areas as required
  • Washes  and secures  daily all corporation owned cutlery and crockery
  • Cleans internal and external areas of  kitchen cupboards and tables
  • Routinely cleans all appliances, including refrigerators, kettles, microwaves
  • Maintains kitchen area safe and clean from any hazards - with specific attention to keeping  floors free of spills
  • Periodically checks offices and cubicles and collects dishes as required
  • Clears meeting rooms after meetings have ended

 

       Inventory

  • Conducts weekly check of inventory for kitchen and bathroom supplies.
  • Prepares and submits a list of inventory requirements to the Manager, Office Administration on a weekly basis
  • Checks and replenishes bathrooms with hand soap, paper towels, toiletries, air fresheners at routine intervals during the standard workday
  • Maintains an inventory of Corporation owned crockery and  cutlery in keeping with the Corporation’s approved format

       Reports

  • Officially reports any concerns that may arise in the performance of assigned duties in the required format and within the specified timeframes.
  • Reports any mal-function of  kitchen equipment/ appliance(s) in accordance with standard operating procedures

 

  • Performs any other duties related to the job function as may be assigned
