Role Overview:
The Head of Operations is responsible for improving efficiency through the planning and organization of resources to attain the strategic goals of NCB Merchant Bank (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited. Leadership and people management are core competencies of this role as well as supporting diverse teams, inspiring employees and fostering collaboration throughout the organization. The ideal candidate to actively participate in the development of new processes, products and services related to the business
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee and streamline transaction processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Implement continuous improvement initiatives and lead the development of new processes and services.
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Liaise with Group HR to design and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives. Drive talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement programs to cultivate a high-performance culture.
  • Facilities and Infrastructure Management: Direct the strategic and day-to-day management of our facilities, including maintenance, safety, and space optimization. Ensure all services and infrastructure support employee productivity and operational needs.
  • Technology Oversight: Lead the strategic development and management of our information systems. Act as the primary point of contact for IT-related projects, including new setups and technology upgrades such as installation of voice /data communications solutions, website, LAN and PC equipment.
  •  Marketing Coordination: Manage and enhance marketing initiatives, including event coordination and advertising strategies in collaboration with the Group Marketing Division. Support the CEO with marketing and communications efforts.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • A Master’s Degree in Management Studies, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years management experience in operations within the financial services or banking sector.
  • Proven experience in senior operational and strategic roles.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational growth.
  • Expertise in operational processes, HR strategy, facilities management, technology infrastructure, and marketing.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
