About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, this senior leadership role will provide you with the opportunity to:

• Play a pivotal role in driving our people agenda and supporting our ambitious growth plan;
• Work collaboratively with the executive team & council; contribute to strategy discussions and help turn strategic priorities into executable operational plans;
• Lead your business area on employee engagement, change management, culture management, succession planning, learning & development;
• Champion our values through recruitment and employee engagement – Respect, Integrity, Care, Jamaica Nice;
• Shape our culture and make us the employer of choice;
• Oversee the development and implementation of our HRIS, whilst ensuring all of our HR processes are effective and in line with the company’s longer-term growth plans.

 We are looking for someone who has: 

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills,
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills,
• Strong business acumen and understands how to develop business partnerships,
• The ability to maximize relationships, build trust, and communicate effectively,
• The knowledge to analyze people issues and provide information, direction and advice,
• A high level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possesses a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Management or any equivalent
• Has minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Solid understanding of the Labour Laws of Jamaica and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
