Job Title: Head of Consumer Sales
Primary objective of the job:
The Head of Consumer Sales is responsible for delivering the new customer acquisitions and upsell numbers for the consumer business lines, and leads the consumer sales team to drive revenue growth and enhance market presence. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to effectively reach target customers, optimizing the sales process, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
The Head of Consumer Sales collaborates with marketing and product teams to align offerings with consumer needs, analyzes market trends to identify opportunities, and implements training programs to enhance the sales team's performance. This position is crucial for achieving business objectives and fostering lasting customer relationships.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the CCO and SMT, formulate annual and monthly sales revenue and expenditure plans and budgets - managing & monitoring and adjusting for variances as required.
- Maintain full sales volume and revenue responsibility for the Digicel+ and Mobile sales channels including owned retail, 3rd party retail, telesales, and direct sales.
- Identify and proactively develop business opportunities within the various channels for business growth.
- Formulate, agree & ensure achievement of company sales & profit objectives within each channel through the management of the retail and direct sales channels.
- Review sales and distribution performance by supply partner & channel type and ensure the development and delivery of effective channel specific sales and work with marketing on promotional strategies.
- Lead, develop & motivate channel teams to achieve pre-agreed new business, retention & category service revenue levels. ·
- Maximise sales through all existing and prospective consumer and business channels optimising visibility and sales for the Digicel brand in terms of new connections (Digicel+ and Mobile) and upgrades.
- Ensure adoption and usage of all sales and distribution systems
- Maintain Retail Audit scores above group specified minimum
- Implement Digicel’s distribution strategy across various diverse channels.
- Work closely with the marketing team to take advantage of consumer insights and market analysis to drive revenue growth.
- Ensure all reporting schedules including daily and weekly activity reports, board reports and presentations are met
- Coordinate training and coaching, and one on ones, where and when required and in line with group specified minimum targets
- Fulfill DPR, EOS and HR related duties
Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A master's degree in management, Marketing, Finance, Economics or any other business-related field. The equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
- Must have 10 years of experience working in a senior sales position, preferably as a Director of Sales, Head of Key Account Management, or Head of Sales Operations within a fast-paced and highly competitive environment. The candidate must also have had substantial and successful experience leading a sales team towards the achievement of sales objectives and targets.
- A suitable candidate will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of sales operations and business practices for sales systems and processes, for example, sales cycles, opportunity, territory, and pipeline management. The Director of Sales must also have experience in building sales operations practices in a complex sales organization.
